"I don't know," Philip answers and that, at least, is entirely honest. That isn't what he does for Todd Chad. In truth, most of the time he isn't entirely sure what his purpose is, because for the most part, the entire team seems rather content to let him drift around the exterior. They haven't called on him for anything in particular, but Philip has a feeling they're simply waiting until the right time to use him.

It's possible that should worry him. Once they're done with him, there's every chance they'll just throw him aside, but he's hoping he'll be able to avoid that and will manage to still get his pay.

"They're not particularly keen on answering questions," he says. "And I prefer getting paid to knowing Todd Chad's intimate details."
